Halloween Makeup! Open cuts and bruises

HALLOWEEN IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!

(This blog has some visually gory content)

Let's start it off with a bang. I've been experimenting with some special effects makeup at home. (not the stick on kinds you find in halloween stores) I created my cuts and bruises using things I have at home! Very easy and affordable to do. The only thing that may be hard to get your hands on is the fake blood.

I was unable to do a step by step photo sequence on how I applied the cuts, but they're very easy to do.
Once you get those in place you can let your imagination take over!

Once you have all the pieces in place you can add the fake blood and let your mind go! I used a drip technique to make it look like it's freshly "opened."I also put on some eye makeup to pull the look together. I was going to go for a more "dead" look but then decided on going a different way instead.

It's finally fall! Time to break out the dark colors :)

Fall Nights Tutorial :)

Hello my beauties :) This is the first of many picture tutorials I will be posting to my blog! Today I was definitely feeling the fall vibe. Cloudy skies, cold breeze and a nice crisp feel when you walk outside.
Fall is one of my FAVORITE seasons. One of the major reasons being that I can pull out my deep rich colors and really add some contour to my looks. Bringing back the "dark" colors for the fall time I chose a couple different shadows. Using the Urban Decays Naked 2 palette and two shadows from MAC Cosmetics. Along with some other products for my face and eyelashes!
For this first step I took a primer to my lid and up to my eyebrow. Followed by an Elf foundation that is lighter than my actual skin color to add some highlight on my brow bone. Both applied with my fingers to help warm the product up and move it around easily.

Taking my flat shader brush I applied Antiqued to the outer corner of my crease in a "V" shape

I then blended Antiqued into my crease. Then taking Busted I did the same application to the outer corner and blended it more intensely into the crease to create a nice contour and depth to my lid.

To bring out the shape of my eye I used my TIGI eyeliner pencil to create a small winged look using a small liner brush. Along with an application on my water line. I wanted to make the line thin to not clash too much with my dark colors on the lid. Also applied my base color (Yogurt) to my inner corners and again over my brow bone for some highlight. To finish blending all my colors together I used Tease shadow to pull the colors together creating a nice fade affect.

I finished off my look with Ardell false lashes applied with LashGrip in "black." Applied mascara to my bottom lashes to darken my water line. And filled in my eyebrows to give them a more distinct shape using Blackout.
